This may seem a strange picture to find on a driving School website but I would like to introduce you to Rocky. Unfortunately Rocky is no longer with us he died in 2007 but the company was named after him.

Professionallly qualified our instructors have over 20 years direct driving experience and years of  teaching people to drive correctly. We are extremely proud of Our pass success rate which is higher than most larger driving schools.

 

One to One Tutition

 

At the "ROCKY ROAD TO SUCCESS" everybody is taught on a strictly One To One basis. In addition we try our utmost to ensure you keep the same instructor throughout you training.

 

If you are looking for driving lessons in Slough and surrounding areas, then please feel free to get in touch. We offer discounts for full time students, and happy to pick up from home, school or work and nervous drivers are made to feel welcome. Driving lessons also available if you are already a driver, but would like refresher training in manoeuvres or general driving.

Information about Cars

As one of the best driving schools in the area our students deserve to drive one of the best cars available And therefore, I am pleased to tell you all our instructors use the Mazda 3 as your car. Not only is the mazda 3 friendly to drive it has a 5* NCAP safety rating they come fully equiped for today's world by being Air Conditioned have satelite navigation and all other mod cons of a modern vehicle.
 
 
Before your First  Lesson

You can normally start to drive in the UK from the age of 17. You can start from 16 if you are receiving disability living allowance at the higher rate. Before you can drive in the UK you must obtain a provisional licence from the DVLA. You can otain an application form from the Post Office, download or apply online Here. 
 
 
European Licence
 
If you have a European licence then you are entitled to drive in the UK until the age of 70 but we can still provide lessons on driving on the left hand side of the road.
 
International Licence
 
If you have a International licence (outside the EU) then You can drive for one year from the day you become a resident. The full details are Here. You will still have to apply for a UK Provisional Licence (see above)

Driving Lessons
 

All driving lessons are tailored to suite your needs. If you would like to meet me before paying for lessons, I offer a free home visit to introduce myself to you and your parents (where appropriate). During this time I can also check your vision to ensure you can read a number plate from the minimum required distance of 20.5 metres (aprox. 5 car lengths).
 
Lengths of Lessons
 
I recommened that lessons are of 2 hours especially in the early stages when I may be driving to a safe area for you to drive. When you are driving from home then I am more than happy to reduce lessons to 1 or 1 1/2 hours, but bare in mind that shorter lessons will mean it takes a longer time to learn  and may cost more in the long run
 
Driving Test Car
 
The car that you use for your test will normally be the car that you instrutor is teaching in, but you are entitled to take you test in any vehicle as long as it is in good working order legal to be on the road and that it is insured for the test. For more Information Click Here
